VETERAN VACCINATIONS

All veterans and spouses can get vaccinated Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Solano County Events Center, 601 Texas St., Conf. A, in Fairfield. It is the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. POETRY HEALS

In celebration of National Poetry Month the Solano County Library Foundation will hold an afternoon program of poetry and thought on April 24, 2021 from 1 to 2:15 pm.  This will be a virtual event featuring local poets presenting their expressions of hope and encouragement. Presented by Suzanne Bruce featured poets are Johanna Ely, former Benicia Poet Laureate;  Mary Susan Gast, current Benicia Poet Laureate;  Dr. Genea Brice, former Vallejo Poet Laureate; and Jeremy Snyder, current Vallejo Poet Laureate.
