Akkineni fans are waiting for big things from as a star. However, so far, he has not been able to fulfil the fans prophesy except for his debut movie’s opening day. Three films later, they have pinned all hopes on Most Eligible Bachelor, but now they are a worried lot.
Akkineni fans’ cause for worry is the recently released movies Chaavu Kaburu Challaga and Wild Dog. First, let’s look at the former. It comes from GA2, a subsidiary of Geetha Arts known for its ‘content movies’. It has got its first misfired product. It got panned for its core plot and theme.
However, the bigger worry is with Wild Dog. Unlike Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, it is appreciated, and yet the collections are weak. In the past, despite low opening, the movies of Nagarjuna picked up tremendously. It is not seen with Wild Dog.
Will one thing lead to the other is the fear of Akkineni fans. As it is, the promotions of Most Eligible Bachelor have left them scratching their heads. The songs released so far haven’t clicked. Even the visual glimpse hasn’t been inspiring, to say the least.
Despite the visible doubts, the Akkineni fans are confident the entire time solely based on the Geetha Arts script judgment and its sensational publicity. But, the latest outing has put a question mark on both.
Most Eligible Bachelor will now be under a lot of scanners. The hope from the banner is missing, and the audiences are yet to warm up to Akhil. Anything average could also turn a damp squib, as seen by Wild Dog.
Bommarillu Bhaskar directs Most Eligible Bachelor. It stars Pooja Hegde in the female lead. The romantic family entertainer hits the big screens on June 19th, later in the year.
