Endgame Fan Exposes the Big Flaw in the Avengers’ Time Heist

While time travel is always tricky, one fan just exposed a major flaw in Avengers: Endgame’s time heist that could’ve changed everything.

The time travel plot of Avengers: Endgame has left a number of fans and watchers scratching their heads in confusion at the rules, with even the film’s directors and writers occasionally contradicting themselves on how the rules work and what the mechanics are behind it. However, one TikTok video offers a different perspective and looks not at the hows and whys, but rather the specific dates. Namely, why didn’t the Avengers just travel to the day after the Snap and take all six Stones from Thanos while he still had them?

It’s easy to see the logic behind that argument: during Endgame‘s Time Heist brainstorm, Natasha did point out that choosing the right year could net the Avengers three Infinity Stones in one trip to New York, while the team that went to 2014 also aimed to collect two Infinity Stones in one go. So, surely the most expedient thing to do was to choose a time when all six Infinity Stones were together in one place. Granted, this would’ve made the movie much shorter and less interesting, with no chance to revisit classic Marvel Cinematic Universe scenes and no way to have a big final battle between a younger Thanos and his army and all the revived heroes from the MCU to date. So at first glance, it appears that they didn’t go with this seemingly obvious solution for the sake of storytelling.

However, it is possible that the Avengers did consider this idea in Endgame, only to shoot it down for one simple reason: when looked at from a logical perspective and considering all the things that can go wrong, it’s actually a horrible idea. Granted, right after the Snap, Thanos was weaker than he was previously, and given how close Thor was to killing him before that happened, another attempt may have succeeded where the first one failed.

That being said, it really should be noted that Thor got extremely lucky the first time around when Thanos decided not to do anything beyond shoot a generic energy beam that Stormbreaker could bypass. Had the Avengers made another attempt right after, Thanos probably would not have made that mistake the second time, and could’ve been more willing to abuse the Stones in order to avoid being struck down. Additionally, while Thanos was weakened by the Snap, he was also relatively fresh from his fight and could’ve been more on guard immediately after, expecting someone to come after him due to his killing half the universe. The Avengers may not have been able to take him by surprise, and with all the Infinity Stones in his possession and a willingness to use them, the fight could’ve gone far worse for the Avengers than it did in Infinity War.

Thanos and the Eternals

Another aspect to consider is the fact that most of the Avengers were no longer in peak condition when it came to Endgame‘s time heist, with several, like Tony, being retired from superheroics. Thor in particular was a shadow of his former self by this point, and considering the Avengers were barely able to beat Thanos the first time when they were all at their peak, trying again while being long past their prime could’ve only gone badly. At the beginning of Endgame, the Avengers were still willing to risk going directly against Thanos in spite of that, but that was out of desperation and the belief that they had no other solution except to take the Infinity Stones back from Thanos. Now, with the Quantum Tunnel, they could collect the Stones from much safer times.

To summarize, the likely reason why the Avengers didn’t try to use the time machine to take the Stones from Thanos post-Snap is because they only had one chance to collect the Stones. They probably didn’t want to risk losing to the Mad Titan again when he still had the power to reshape the universe with a gesture. Choosing to take the Infinity Stones from different time periods across the timeline might have been far more complicated than taking them from Thanos directly, but it was ultimately the safer option.

Coronavirus News LIVE: India issues revised Covid guidelines for international travellers; WHO says Omicron poses ‘very high’ global risk, countries must prepare

Coronavirus News November 29 LIVE Updates, COVID-19 vaccines, WHO, new Covid-19 variant Omicron, travel restrictionsThe WHO has said it is “not yet clear” whether the newly-detected coronavirus variant Omicron is more transmissible or causes more severe disease compared to other variants.

Coronavirus Variants and Vaccinations, Coronavirus Active Cases in India Today’s News, November 29 Live Updates: Just as the global community thought that the worst of the Coronavirus pandemic was behind us, a new COVID-19 variant has emerged. The variant – called Omicron or B.1.1.529 – was first reported from South Africa less than a week ago. At present, South Africa, Botswana, Hong Kong and European nations including the UK, Italy, Denmark, and Germany have reported cases of this new strain. The emergence of a new variant, Omicron,  has sent the global community into a panic state, and while European nations have started announcing lockdown measures, many countries like the US have imposed travel bans for South Africa and some more countries over concerns regarding the Omicron variant.

The WHO has classified Omicron as a variant of concern, and countries, including India, have begun keeping a stricter vigil on the new cases that are being reported to ensure that the cases are not due to the new variant. WHO also gave an update on the variant on Sunday. It said that researchers globally are trying to study the variant and understand its various aspects. At the moment, it is not yet clear if Omicron is more transmissible as compared to other variants. It noted that while South African regions affected by this variant have reported an increase in the number of cases, studies are being conducted to see if that is because of the variant or due to other factors. Similarly, there is not sufficient evidence to comment on the severity of the infection caused by Omicron, WHO said, adding that there was no information indicating that the symptoms caused by the new variant were different from the ones caused by other variants.

Meanwhile, state governments in India, including Karnataka and Delhi, urged the Centre to ban international flights coming from ‘at-risk’ countries, or nations which have reported cases of Omicron. On Sunday evening, the Centre also decided to review its decision on resuming scheduled commercial international flights. On November 26, the country had announced that regular international flights would resume from December 15 after a period of 20 months. So far, international flights have been operating under bubble agreements with other countries. However, the decision is now set to be renewed. Notably, no case of the variant has been reported in India so far.

India reported 8,309 new Coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking its overall tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,45,80,832, while the active cases declined to 1,03,859, the lowest in 544 days, according to data from the Union Health Ministry on Monday. With 236 fresh fatalities, the Covid-19 death toll has increased to 4,68,790, the Health Ministry said. The single-day rise in new cases has been below 20,000 for the past 52 days and less than 50,000 for the 155 consecutive days now.

Power Book 2 season 2 cast: What else has Debbi Morgan been in? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Power Book II: Ghost season two returned to Starz earlier this month following the cliffhanger of the first series. Tariq St Patrick (played by Michael Rainey Jr) has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, not only with keeping out of jail himself but with ensuring sister Yaz’s welfare. Unfortunately, she could be unintentionally put at risk by their grandmother Estelle Green (Debbi Morgan).

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Power Book 2.

When Tasha St Patrick (Naturi Naughton) was sent to prison for James “Ghost” St Patrick’s (Omari Hardwick) murder, her mum Estelle took Yaz in.

As Tariq got to focus more on college, this did seem to go well until the second series began.

He stopped Yaz from setting fire to the house as she was attempting to make breakfast in the season premiere.

She also told her big brother how Estelle had been drinking heavily again and he himself saw something wasn’t right when she couldn’t remember him returning home the night before.

This has been far from her only role on the small screen though.

Morgan has also starred in Generations, Loving, The City, General Hospital, Port Charles, Boston Public, Charmed, For the People and The Young and the Restless.

While the 65-year-old has spent most of her career in television, she has dipped in and out of the film industry as well.

One of her most well-known roles on the big screen was in the 1999 romantic-comedy She’s All That as Ms Rousseau.

Power Book II season two will continue on Sunday, December 5, on Starz.

The upcoming episode is called The Greater Good which indicates there could be moral ambiguity that could play a role in these latest scenes.

The synopsis reads: “Tariq tries to keep CourseCorrect from going under.

“Diana grows wary of Cane’s motives and Zeke’s future gets put at risk; Nobody can find Monet.”

Power Book 2 season 2 airs every Sunday on Starz in America and Starzplay in the UK.
