‘I beg you to stay home’: Priyanka Chopra Jonas calls the current COVID-19 situation in India ‘grave’ | Hindi Movie News – Bollywood

The nation is currently witnessing the drastic surge in the cases of COVID-19 and several Bollywood celebs are coming out to urge people to follow COVID-19 precautions and protocols. Now, taking to her Twitter handle, global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas penned a note on the current corona situation in the country. While calling it ‘grave’, the actress wrote, ‘The Covid 19 situation across India is grave. I’m seeing images and stories coming in from different parts of the country that are so scary… the situation is out of control and our medical fraternity is at a breaking point.’ Further on, while urging people to stay home and safe, she added, ‘Please stay home…I beg you to stay home. Do it for yourself, your family, friends, neighbours, community, and also our frontline workers. Every doctor and frontline worker is saying the exact same thing: Stay home, Ensure everyone you know stays home, If you have to step out, wear a mask, Talk to those around you and help them understand this situation.’ She also urged people to take the vaccine as she wrote, ‘we cannot take this lightly. Get the vaccine when it’s your turn. Doing this will help us ease the immense pressure on our medical system.’ Well, the actress has been vocal about COVID-19 precautions and protocols since the beginning of the pandemic. Earlier she even shared a picture of herself wherein she can be seen working amid the coronavirus pandemic while following all the safety precautions. She even penned a note which read, ‘What shooting a movie looks like in 2020. Daily testing, face shields, and masks on hand. This was taken after hair and makeup where we wait right before we shoot, in a secure distanced zone…And masks on…in between all shots!! Staying safe is part of getting the job done protect yourself and everyone around you. Stay positive! test negative!’
