In an illustrious film career spanning for over three decades, Akkineni Nagarjuna has reinvented himself according to changing times and kept his scintillating stardom intact. After the box-office debacle of Manmadhudu 2, the 61-year-old actor has joined forces with debutante director Ashishor Solomon for an adventure thriller. Titled as ‘Wild Dog’, the film is a real-life inspired drama which showcases Nag as an NIA officer.

After wrapping up nearly 70% of the film prior to the lockdown, the shooting has recently resumed in Hyderabad and Nagarjuna became the first Telugu superstar to enter the sets in Unlock 4.0. Simultaneously, he will be kicking-off his tenure as a host for the fourth season of Telugu Bigg Boss.

Taking to social media, the handsome hunk shared a BTS (between-the-scenes) video from the sets of ‘Wild Dog’ with the caption “It was fun shooting for #WildDog and now getting ready for #BiggBossTelugu4 day after!! Lights, camera, Action With all the safety precautions #WildDog Shoot Resumes.”

Following all the COVID-19 guidelines and safety precautions, the shooting location of ‘Wild Dog’ has been installed with disinfectant tunnels, PPE kits and not more than 40 crew members with face masks and gloves. The shooting is expected to take place in multiple locations in Hyderabad including the Ramoji Film City.

Speaking to Hyderabad Times recently, Solomon said, “Nagarjuna sir is an inspiration to us all. Although he is a senior actor, he was the one who took the initiative to get shooting started again and that is truly admirable. His energy and enthusiasm is unmatchable and once again, he has led the way for Telugu cinema to unlock, like the true superstar that he is. I can’t wait to go back on sets and begin shooting with him again.”

Starring Dia Mirza as the leading lady, the film features an ensemble star cast like Atul Kulkarni, Saiyami Kher and Ali Reza in pivotal roles. While Shaneil Deo is handling the cinematography of Wild Dog, Kiran Kumar is penning the dialogues.
