Princess Switch 3 cast | Meet the characters of Romancing the Star

The festive season is almost upon us!

Netflix might be gearing up to release a barrage of brand new Christmas movies for viewers, but there’s one in particular that’s on everyone’s mind – The Princess Switch: Romancing the Star, the third instalment of the hit Netflix franchise.

The first film of the franchise, starring High School Musical’s Vanessa Hudgens, generated a huge buzz when it was released on Netflix back in 2018.

For the romcom, the actress embodied two lookalike characters: baker Stacy and Lady Margaret, the Duchess of Montenaro.

When the pair discovered they look exactly like one another, they decided to to swap lives and, of course, chaos, disaster and romance ensued.

For last year’s The Princess Switch: Switched Again, Hudgens reprised her two roles, as well as juggling the part of Margaret’s nefarious cousin, Fiona.

Now, Hudgens is back for all three roles once again in the third film The Princess Switch: Romancing the Star, which hit Netflix on Thursday 18th November 2021.

Director Mike Rohl recently spoke about how Hudgens required three body doubles to play the three parts.

“During the blockings, Vanessa, me, and a few key crew members would work out all her characters’ actions,” Rohl explained to Newsweek.

“The three doubles would take notes and prepare to repeat all of her moves and mannerisms. We learned the best way to attack the doubling and tripling was to shoot out each character entirely in a scene before moving on to the next one.

“This allowed Vanessa to deal with her workload in small packages that were easier to track and focus on. My job was to support her through discussions related to each character’s goals, arcs and tactics,” he added. “I commend her dedication to taking responsibility for keeping each character distinct and relatable and, above all else, straight in her head.”

Alongside familiar faces, The Princess Switch 3 also introduces us to some new faces, including a new mysterious man.

Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about the film’s cast.

Who is Stacy? Vanessa Hudgens has reprised her role as Stacy, a baker-turned-princess from Chicago. The latest movie sees the now-Princess Stacey and Queen Margaret co-chair an international Christmas celebration featuring a priceless artefact, the Star of Peace. When the artefact is stolen, Stacey takes it upon herself to solve the heist, but what obstacles will they come across during their hunt for the relic?

What else has Vanessa Hudgens been in? Hudgens is best known for her role as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical film series. Since then, Hudgens has gone on to star in numerous films including Polar, Beastly and Sucker Punch.

Who is Fiona? Hudgens also takes on the role of Margaret’s lookalike cousin, Lady Fiona Pembroke, in the latest Princess Switch. Life-of-the-party Fiona is the only person Stacey and Margaret know with a criminal background, and so they decide to approach her for assistance with solving the crime.

Remy Hii plays Peter Maxwell

Who is Peter? Fiona enlists her ex-boyfriend, Peter Maxwell – who is an expert in the art of espionage – to help her recover the stolen artefact in The Princess Switch 3. The details of Fiona and Peter’s break-up aren’t really covered, but it soon becomes clear they have unfinished business in the movie.

Talking about why the film stands out from other Christmas movies, Hii recently told Distractify: “Our film, I think, is sort of different from most Christmas movies. Because, for starters, we don’t have just one Vanessa Hudgens. We’ve got three,” he said. “It’s so amazing what they do with those three characters.

“There are not many people in this business who can do what she does,” he added. “I think Fiona resonated with audiences so much because she’s not just like a larger-than-life character, but I think Vanessa just has so much fun playing her.”

What else has Remy Hii been in? Fans will recognise the actor from Crazy Rich Asians as well as Spider-Man: Far from Home. He also stars in the TV series Harrow and was cast as Hudson Walsh in the soap opera Neighbours in 2013.

Sam Palladio plays Prince Edward

Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Updates

When it comes to high-fashion, luxury lifestyles, and endless drama, it doesn’t get better than Netflix’s Selling Sunset. The real estate reality show — which follows the employees of The Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles — has proven to be a massive success. And whether you love seeing gorgeous houses, frenemy fights, or Christine Quinn’s iconic outfits, you probably want details about the next installment of the series. Here’s everything you need to get hyped about Selling Sunset Season 5 including the release date, the cast, and the trailer.

Selling Sunset premiered in March 2019 and since then, the show continues to grow in popularity. So much so that after Season 3, the series was renewed for two more seasons which meant the drama was just getting started. After Season 4 dropped on Nov. 24, you’re probably already aching to see what happens next for the Oppenheim Group.

Sure, you can follow the Selling Sunset cast on Instagram to get an idea, but piecing together their posts feels like trying to do a puzzle. A very beautiful, very dramatic puzzle. Luckily, Season 5 should help you fill in any gaps, including how two unlikely co-workers *cough Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim* actually got together.

Selling Sunset Season 5 Release Date

Unfortunately, Netflix hasn’t announced the Season 5 Selling Sunset release date as of Nov. 30, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to have to wait forever to see what happens next. The streamer is notorious for keeping release dates secret until just before premieres. In fact, the cast shared the Season 4 premiere date news on social media just over a month before the Nov. 24 release.

The good news is Season 5 has already been filmed. On Nov. 27 Stause confirmed via Instagram comment production had recently wrapped on Season 5. While Selling Sunset doesn’t have a usual premiere drop, Season 4 completed filming around July, which means it was in post-production for about four months. That means fans can likely expect Season 5 to air sometime during the first half of 2022.

Selling Sunset Season 5 Cast

Season 4 saw some new faces including Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan join the cast, and views can expect to see them return for Season 5 as well as the previous regulars including Maya Vander, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae Young, Amanza Smith, Davina Potratz, Stause, and Quinn, plus their boss, Jason Oppenheim. You’ll probably also see the main cast’s partners and Jason’s twin brother, Brett (even though he left The Oppenheim Group in 2020).

Selling Sunset Season 5 Plot

As you might have guessed, it looks like Season 5 of Selling Sunset will be very relationship-heavy. The season will showcase the ins and outs of how Jason and Stause got together and hopefully what they’re like as a couple. You can also expect to see more by way of the Quinn-Hernan discrepancy as well as details and events leading up to Young’s October 2021 wedding to Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa.

It’s unclear whether the new season will have any crossover with the new spin-off series, Selling The O.C., but considering everyone works for Jason, there’s reason to believe some drama between the Oppenheim locations might be a thing.

Selling Sunset Season 5 Trailer

Since Season 5 of Selling Sunset just finished filming, there’s no trailer to dissect quite yet. You can expect to see a first look at Season 5 about two weeks before the release date, which is Netflix’s usual trailer-to-premiere schedule. Until then, check this space for more Selling Sunset updates, and in the meantime, you can rewatch Selling Sunset Seasons 1 to 4 on Netflix to keep the drama fresh.

What is the release date of Sons of the Forest?

The highly anticipated sequel to early access survival success story The Forest, Sons of the Forest finally has a release date. After developer Endnight Games revealed the game during The Game Awards in 2019, news concerning the sequel all but dried up for two years.

In November 2021, Endnight Games unveiled the release date for Sons of the Forest with a new trailer. The game will launch on May 20, 2022, for PC, roughly eight years after the original game stormed Steam charts and forever cemented itself as a survival success.

At the time of writing, Sons of the Forest has only been confirmed for PC. However, the previous title, The Forest, went on to be released for all major platforms, so it’s likely that Sons of the Forest will also be released for these platforms in the future.

Sons of the Forest is slated to be a sequel to The Forest, set years after the first game’s events. Some details in the new trailer line up with The Forest, such as the horribly mutated cannibal enemies and the scientific facility players enter towards the end of the game. However, there are many new features too, including companions, improved crafting mechanics, and far more grotesque enemies to battle.
