The film is produced by Satyanarayana Koneru who bought the remake rights of the film. The shooting of the film was started in March of 2019. The film is directed by Ramesh Varma who has also directed films like Ride, Veera, etc
This film is going to be very crucial for its main leads. Both Anupama Parameswaran and Bellamkonda Sreenivas badly need a hit. Anupama’s last hit was Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi which came way back in 2017.
And Bellamkonda Sreenivas didn’t see a hit in his whole carrier. Rakshasudu is the second remake that he is doing. His second film Speedunnodu is a remake of 2012 Tamil film Sundarapandian. He did six films till now and none of them managed to get love from the audience. With Rakshasudu, did Bellamkonda managed to get first hit of carrier? Let’s know
Review Of Rakshasudu
The story originally written by Ram Kumar is so superb that you don’t mind watching the story again in another language. Directed by Ramesh Varma, Rakshasudu manages to pull off a convincing watch to satisfy the expectations of a Ratsasan remake.
As this film is a remake, we can only talk about acting, music and other technicalities. As the film didn’t have any challenging parts, Bellamkonda Sreenivas has managed to carry out his role very well. Anupama Parameswaran did a good job in the scenes she performed.
The background score of the film is spine chilling. Compose by Ghibran, who also composed the score for the original, gave a slightly different yet thrilling score for the Telugu version. Makers of the movie made a great choice to get Ghibran for the scoring again.
Venkat C.Dilip’s cinematography is appreciatable. He did a great job in recreating the feel of the original. Though the film is 4 minutes longer than the original, the screenplay is crisp and thrilling.
Should you watch this movie? If you have watched the original, then no. If you didn’t watch the original, then you can watch this. A high number of film lovers from Telugu states has already watched Ratsasan. So it will be interesting to see how many people will check this movie out.
