Karthi and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film Sulthan is nearing completion. Producer SR Prabhu revealed that they haven’t finalised a release date yet.

Karthi and Rashmika Mandanna’s Sulthan, which has been in the making for over a year, is 90 per cent complete. According to producer SR Prabhu, the film’s major edit has been completed during the lockdown. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the makers haven’t decided on Sulthan’s release date. Producer SR Prabhu also assured that Sulthan will be a big production venture and a complete entertainer from their banner.
Sulthan marks actress Rashmika Mandanna’s debut in the Tamil film industry. Directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, the film is expected to be a mass entertainer from Dream Warrior Pictures.
Producer SP Prabhu took to Twitter to give a major update on Sulthan. He wrote, “#Sulthan 90% shoot & Major edit are over. Looking at the possibilities to finish the balance works beside #COVID19 .This will be one of the biggest production & a complete entertainer from @DreamWarriorpic As you all know.. no plans on the release yet! @Bakkiyaraj_k #JaiSulthan (sic).”

with the entire cast and crew. The film’s music is composed by duo Vivek and Mervin. The film also features Yogi Babu and Ponnambalam in the lead roles. Sulthan was supposed to release this year, but it couldn’t be wrapped up due to Covid-19 crisis.

On the work front, Karthi was last seen in Kaithi, which was a roaring hit across the country. Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in Telugu film Bheeshma, opposite Nithiin.
