Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta shares pics of benches named after him in Australia

To honour Sushant Singh Rajput, a few benches in Australia have been named after him. The actor’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, today (March 24) shared two photos of the benches from Australia and wrote that Sushant’s essence lives on. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai home on June 14, 2020.

WHAT DID SHWETA SINGH KIRTI POST?

Shweta Singh Kirti shared two photos of benches that have been named after Sushant Singh Rajput in Australia. A signboard at one such a bench describes him as ‘keen astronomer, environmentalist and humanitarian’. One particular place is named Sushant’s Point. Sharing the photos, Shweta wrote, “He lives on… his name lives on… his essence lives on! That is the impact of a pure soul! You are God’s own child my baby… you will always live on… #ForeverSushant (sic).”

A signboard at a bench at Sushant’s Point mentions ‘light so bright, it unearthed the darkness to bring about the change. A small contribution to preserve nature by Celebrate India Inc. with Aussizz Group. 7 November 2020.’ Another reads, ‘Sushant Singh Rajput 1986-2020 (Bihar, Mumbai, India) An actor, keen Astronomer, Environmentalist and Humanitarian’. A soul that touched millions.’

CHHICHHORE GETS BEST HINDI FILM AT 67TH NATIONAL FILM AWARDS

Sushant Singh Rajput’s Chhichhore has been named Best Film at the 67th National Film Awards. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Sharma in pivotal roles. Sushant played the role of Aniruddh or Anni in the film. Chhichhore is a college comedy and is Sushant’s last theatrical release.

Chhichhore largely received positive reviews and also minted good collection at the box office.

CHHICHHORE PRODUCER DEDICATES NATIONAL AWARD TO SUSHANT

Sajid Nadiadwala, producer of Chhichhore, has dedicated the National Award win to Sushant Singh Rajput. Talking about the National Award win, he said, “On behalf of NGE, I dedicate this extremely prestigious award to Sushant Singh Rajput. We can’t get over his loss ever but I sincerely pray that this award gives a little bit of happiness to his family and fans which includes me. And I am tremendously grateful to Nitesh Tiwari for giving us all this very special movie.”

SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT DEATH CASE

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his home in Bandra, Mumbai, on June 14, 2020. The actor’s death was investigated by the Mumbai Police who declared it a case of suicide. The case was was later transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) are also investigating drugs and money laundering angle in the case.
