This somewhat obscure horror title has managed to stick out when it released back in 2017, receiving positive reviews and earning a spot as one of the 10 scariest games on PS4 and Xbox One. It begins the way many players would expect, placing them in the shoes of a cybernetically-enhanced protagonist who navigates a gritty cyberpunk city set in Krakow, Poland shortly after a digital plague.
As he investigates the murder of his son, this disturbing and engrossing story gets stranger and stranger. Those looking for scares will find plenty, and the reoccurring visual hallucinations are sure to mess with their heads. This summer, more people than ever will be able to experience the best possible version of this acclaimed horror title.
Observer: System Redux is available now for PS5 and Xbox One, and is releasing on PS4 and Xbox One on July 16, 2021.
