The state of Tamil Nadu is set to head to the polls in a single phase election commencing on April 6. Since 1967, politics in Tamil Nadu, with its 234 seats, has been dominated by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) to which the late J Jayalalithaa belonged. However, over the last few decades, a  number of smaller parties have emerged, most notably the AMMK led by TTV Dhinakaran, the nephew of Sasikala.

Having allied with the Congress, Left parties and other regional players, the DMK will be hopeful of improving upon its 2016 performance when it won just 89 seats. Meanwhile, the BJP, which has struggled to gain a foothold in the state, has allied with the ruling AIADMK.

The Times Now C-voter Opinion Poll was conducted between 17 March, 2021 and 22nd March across 8,709 participants.

A total of 1,513 poll participants were also asked a series of questions regarding the prospects of various candidates and parties, as well as relating to key campaign issues.
