Tara, Suchendra Prasad share screen space in Dandi | Kannada Movie News

Senior actors Tara and Suchendra Prasad are teaming up for the upcoming film Dandi, directed by Vishal Raj. The muhurtha of the movie was held at a temple in Honnavara. The project is based on a novel penned by Dr Rajashekhar Mathpathi.

Padamshree awardee Sukri Bomagowda sounded the first clap. The first schedule of shooting will be held in Honnavara, Siddhapura, Ankola and surrounding regions for 30 days. The team is dedicating the movie, which is said to be based on Salt Satyagraha, is dedicated to the freedom fighters of Uttara Kannada. Young actors Shalini Bhat and Yuvan Dev are making their debut with the movie and Damodhar Naidu will be seen in a significant role . Venkatesh is the cinematographer, Raagam has penned the lyrics and Ram Kishen has scored the music. The makers are planning to release the movie in August on the occasion of thr 75th Independence Day.

This is not the first time Tara and Suchendra Prasad are sharing screen space. They had acted together in Savitrabai Phule. Tara had played the role of Savitrabai Phule and Suchendra Prasad was seen in the role of her husband.
