In most cases if a star likes others’ films, they personally call them or post a tweet about the film. But, megastar Chiranjeevi came forward to appreciate the entire team of Wild Dog in a press meet.
Chiranjeevi already posted a tweet heaping praises on Nagarjuna, director Ashishor Solomon and producer Niranjan Reddy.
While speaking at the press meet, Nagarjuna said, “I’m contented with the congratulatory messages. But yesterday I felt the happiest. My friend and brother Chiranjeevi called me at and he said, ‘the film was fantastic. It’s the film every Indian must watch. You seemed to have worked hard for action sequences. I feel proud of you for doing this film.’ He said that he didn’t even take break for interval. Thank you Chiranjeevi garu.”
Chiranjeevi said, “When good things happen, we must share with our close aides. Wild Dog is a film that we should all feel proud of. I didn’t really have any curiosity on the film while it was in making stages, though I used to discuss about it with Nag and producer Niranjan Reddy.
I thought it would be dull and boring, as the film won’t have comedy scenes or songs or romantic scenes. We indeed expect these elements in Nagarjuna’s films. I watched the film yesterday with low expectations. It gave me adrenaline rush. I watched it without taking break. My interest was sustained till the end. I called Nag and told him why you are keeping this film in low profile. It’s a great film. Thankfully, audiences are talking positively about the film.
After I watched Uri, I wondered why we aren’t making such films. Are we trapped in commercial formula? Nagarjuna encourages variety concepts. It proved that we Telugu people can make such films. I felt emotional as an Indian. I’m proud of my friend Nagarjuna. I appreciate director for making the film within the budget. It is a tribute to unsung heroes.
I couldn’t control myself after watching the film. I didn’t feel it as a promotion. Nobody asked me, I genuinely came here to talk about the film.”
